Have you ever eaten Hidden Fruits and thought, wait... β¨
why do these raspberries
taste better than fresh RASPBERRIES?
Hereβs the secret: unlike most other fruits, raspberries donβt ripen after theyβre picked. So, to survive the long journey from farm to store shelf, most fresh raspberries are harvested before theyβre fully ripe. That means less flavour by the time they reach you.
Frozen raspberries, on the other hand, are typically left to ripen naturally on the cane and picked at their peak. Ours are frozen within 12 hours of harvest (or from the moment they're received from trusted growers), locking in all that vibrant flavour and natural goodness.
Our hand-picked raspberries are exclusively grown on British farms where the climate (the fruity terroir) nurtures their big size, juicy flavour and vibrant colour. We know theyβre among the best in the world, because, well, weβve tried all the others.
BRITISH RASPBERRIES
Ethically sourced via Tonyβs Open Chain, we hide our fruits in the finest blends of Belgian chocolate. Instead of vegetable fats, we choose to use pure cocoa butter which melts at the same temperature as the human body - creating our satisfying signature snap and that literal melt-in-your-mouth sensation.
BELGIAN CHOCOLATE
JUST LIKE OUR TREATS, THEREβS TWO SIDES TO OUR STORYβ¦
The story of Hidden Fruits begins in two places 7,456 miles away: Bariloche, Argentina and Lancashire, England...
β¨If Manuel wasnβt home for dinner, he was likely out foraging for wild produce in the forests of Bariloche.
The Forager:
Fionaβs love of chocolate was famous across the entirety of Lancashire (well, across the entirety of the kitchen)...β¨
The Chocolate-Eater:
Two Ingredients Combineβ¦.
After training to be a chef, Manuel moved to the UK in 2016 and found his missing ingredient (sweet)..
HIDDEN FRUITS ARE FOUND!
Discovering each other's love, and even deeper love for fruit mixed with chocolate, Fiona and Manuel found Hidden Fruits in their little kitchen. They might have a bigger kitchen now, with approximately a billion freezers, but every Hidden Fruit is still made by with their team in-house in London.
